    • Contains codeine and paracetamol.
    • If you take it for a headache for more than 3 days, it could potentially worsen the headache.
    • Withdrawal symptoms may occur after stopping.

You must use Solpadeine Max only if paracetamol, aspirin, or ibuprofen are unable to treat pain after 3 days.

Available at Ashcroft Pharmacy with a free online consultation.
Addiction Risk: Codeine can be addictive, so it's important to use it responsibly and avoid long-term use.

    • Injuries
  • How does Solpadeine Max work?

Solpadeine Max tablets contain two analgesics, i.e., codeine and paracetamol, offering relief from acute-moderate pain symptoms in such a way that:

Codeine is an opioid pain reliever that works on the central nervous system by blocking pain signals in the brain. It disrupts the communication of pain signals between the body and brain.

However, taking too much codeine can slow your breathing and may be life-threatening. It’s important to follow the prescribed dose and consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

Paracetamol inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins (pain-causing chemicals) in the brain. Prostaglandins are synthesised at the site of injury, causing pain, fever, swelling, and redness.
By blocking its synthesis, paracetamol alleviates the severity of pain and reduces fever by targeting the brain areas that regulate body temperature.

Caffeine works alongside paracetamol and enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol, making it more effective.

    • Nauseous
    • Difficulties breathing
    • Unconscious

Moreover, always take Solpadeine Max according to your doctor’s advice, and do not take more than the recommended dose to avoid serious effects or addiction.

  • How do I know if I am addicted?

You have developed dependency if you:

    • Want to take medicine for the long term.
    • Need to take more than prescribed doses.
    • Skip it and feel restlessness or irritability and feel better once you start taking it again.
  • How effective is Solpadeine Max for headache relief?

Solpadeine Max is highly effective for relieving moderate to severe headaches, including migraines and tension headaches.

Its triple-action formula—combining paracetamol, codeine, and caffeine—works synergistically to reduce pain, enhance the pain-relieving effect, and improve alertness often diminished by headaches.

For persistent or recurring headaches, consult your doctor to explore safer, long-term management options.

One of the common side effects of Solpadeine Max is a rebound headache, which can occur with overuse. Excessive reliance on Solpadeine Max or any painkiller may worsen headache symptoms over time.

However, its use should be limited to no more than three consecutive days to avoid rebound headaches or dependency(addiction).

For persistent or recurring headaches, consult your doctor to explore safer, long-term management options.

  • Solpadeine Max and pregnancy

You should not take Solpadeine Max if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, as it can affect your unborn child.
