Ashcroft Pharmacy

  • Is Ashcroft Pharmacy a registered pharmacy?

Ashcroft Pharmacy is registered with the GPhC, and is a fully licensed and regulated pharmacy.
We are classified as a distance selling pharmacy, so while we do not have a shop you can visit, we are available during working hours over the phone.

  • Where does Ashcroft Pharmacy get its medicines from?

All medicines from Ashcroft Pharmacy are sourced from regulated and licensed wholesalers based in the United Kingdom. We operate with the same pharmaceutical suppliers and wholesalers that any community pharmacy would deal with and we check all our medicines to ensure their legitimacy and safety.

  • Who will deliver my medicines?

To be able to serve as many customers as we can, we have partnered up with reputable delivery services (e.g. Royal Mail and DPD) to ensure quick and safe delivery of your orders.

Depending on your order, you will receive an envelope or a parcel that contains all your medicines which will be discreetly packed.

  • Is the ordering process confidential?

All data inputted onto our system is under strict confidentiality rules and regulations, and only authorised individuals who are responsible for prescribing and dispensing your medicines have access to it.

  • How will my medicines be packaged?

All medicines are packed in unbranded plain packaging with no indication that they have been sent from a pharmacy, for your comfort. The actual medicines remain in their original packs and are unaltered.

  • Will I need to sign for my medicines?

When our delivery partners deliver your medicines, they are required by law to sign for the medicines, to ensure the medicines are safely received. This is a legal requirement and we cannot post medicines through your letter box.

  • How long will delivery take?

We have multiple choices at the check out for you to decide how quickly you want your items delivered.

  • Why do you need me to fill out a consultation form?

When you request to purchase a certain medicine, our prescribers clinically assess your consultation to make sure we can offer you suitable treatments. The consultation form captures all the important and relevant information to allow them to make an informed and safe decision on whether we can supply you with beneficial medicines.

  • Why can I not just buy these medicines?

While some websites will allow you to purchase some of these medicines without a consultation, this is not safe for you and can even be illegal.

Medicines in the UK are classified as either prescription only medicines, pharmacy medicines or over the counter medicines. All prescription only medicines require a prescription to be generated before being dispensed.

At Ashcroft Pharmacy we have prescribers ready to assess your consultations and issue prescriptions so we
can deliver the correct treatment to your doorstep.

  • Will the prescriber inform my GP?

We recommend that all customers allow us to inform their GP of the treatments they are taken, to allow for a complete record to be made with their GP. However, we will not inform your GP without your consent.

  • What if I get side effects from the medicines dispensed?

In the unlikely scenario you feel any side effects from the medicines we have dispensed for you, please inform your GP at the earliest possible opportunity. If you would like, please contact us and a pharmacist will discuss with you any side effects you are experiencing and provide clinical advice.
