Why beconase hay fever nasal spray is popular?

  • The intranasal spray works efficiently and quickly
  • It can be used by pregnant and nursing mothers under doctors’ instructions
  • You can use it for a long time, a maximum of three months
  • You can use it before to prevent allergy pollen
  • It can be administered to children and adults
  • Has mild side effects.

Beconase nasal spray contains beclometasone dipropionate, which is a corticosteroid used to treat hay fever symptoms such as a runny nose and sneezing.

Corticosteroids are hormones produced by your body naturally to control inflammation responses. Beconase works by reducing inflammation, resulting in relief of itchiness and stuffiness in the nose.

Due to the active ingredient, the nasal spray works effectively in reducing inflammation in the nasal passages and preventing inflammation of the nasal lining before the occurrence of the allergy.

How Beconase Nasal Spray Works?

Because aqueous Nasal Spray is administered through the intranasal route only where it has an antiinflammatory effect within the respiratory system.

It's highly effective since it works right where the problem starts, which is in the nose, compared to tablets, which take a longer procedure to work.

For younger children, smaller doses are recommended for the medicine to work efficiently and effectively.

How to use Beconase Aqueous Nose Spray?

⚠️ Directions of use for Beconase Allergy Spray.

If this is your first time using a nasal spray, follow this procedure to administer Beconase into your nostrils.

  • ✅ Shake off your bottle and remove the dust cap
  • ✅ Gently clean your nose by blowing it gently
  • ✅ With one hand, close one of your nostrils. Put your forefinger and middle finger on the collar of the nozzle, and your thumb finger underneath.
  • ✅ Place the nozzle on the other nose, lean your head forward,
  • ✅ Breathe in gently, and while still breathing, press down firmly on the collar with your fingers. A spray of fine mist will be released into your nostril
  • ✅ Breathe out and repeat the same procedure for the other nostril
  • ✅ After you are done using your spray, make sure to wipe out the nozzle with a clean tissue and place back the dust cap.

✅ Make sure to follow your pharmacist's instructions on how to use Beconase. The intranasal spray should not be used by children under the age of six. You should use the medicine regularly, at least twice a day, to get better results.

✅ Adults and children of 6 years and older should start their dose by administering 2 sprays per nostril twice a day. The maximum number of sprays to be administered in 24 hours should be 8, that is, 4 sprays per nostril.

✅ The pharmacist may advise you to take 8 sprays per day only when your symptoms spike and lower the number to 4 sprays per day when symptoms are lower in number.

⚠️ Risks of using high doses of beconase.

Procedures for cleaning your spray

Your intranasal spray must always be clean to avoid contamination with germs. Clean it immediately after use or at least twice a week to prevent blockage.

  • Remove your dust cap and pull the white collar to take off the nozzle
  • In warm water, soak your nozzle and dust cap for a few minutes
  • Rinse them with running water
  • Put them in a warm place to dry
  • Put the nozzle back on the spray
  • Prime the spray pump as described by your pharmacist.

First blow your nose then remove the protective cap from the product. Before the first use, press the pump several times until you get an even spray.

Spray two sprays into each nostril keeping your head upright, do not tilt your head back. Wipe the nozzle and replace the protective cap.

This should be done once in the morning and once in the evening. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
