Product Description
Pyrocalm Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets contain omeprazole, a trusted proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn and acid regurgitation.
Unlike quick-acting antacids that only mask discomfort, Pyrocalm Control works at the source — by reducing excess acid production in your stomach.
Within a few days of regular use, most people experience lasting relief from the burning sensation in the chest and throat caused by reflux.This treatment is intended for adults who experience frequent heartburn (occurring two or more days per week) and can help you regain comfort and confidence during meals or at bedtime.
If symptoms persist for 14 consecutive days or longer, consult your GP or pharmacist for further advice.
How to Take Pyrocalm Control 20mg Tablets
- Take one 20mg tablet once daily, preferably in the morning.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water — do not chew or crush it.
- Tablets may take 2–3 days to reach full effect.
- Stop treatment once your symptoms have completely resolved.
- Do not take for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.

Product Ingredients
Each gastro-resistant tablet contains:
Active ingredient: Omeprazole 20mg
Other ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, sodium starch glycolate, sodium stearyl fumarate, sodium stearate, hypromellose acetate succinate, and colouring agents (iron oxides E172, titanium dioxide E171).
Warnings & Precautions
Do not take Pyrocalm Control if:
- You are allergic to omeprazole or any other PPI (such as esomeprazole, lansoprazole).
- You are taking nelfinavir (used for HIV).
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if:
- You are over 55 with new or changed symptoms of reflux.
- You are taking other medications that may interact with PPIs.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding – omeprazole is generally safe, but medical guidance is recommended.
- Always read the package leaflet before use.
FAQ
How long does Pyrocalm Control take to work?
Pyrocalm Control is not for immediate relief. It can take 2-3 consecutive days of taking one tablet daily to feel the full effect. You can use an antacid for "breakthrough" symptoms in the meantime.
What should I do if I forget to take a dose?
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten one.
Can I take Pyrocalm Control if I am pregnant?
While Omeprazole is widely used, medicines can affect an unborn baby. You must talk to your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
