Gaviscon Double Action Mint Flavour Chewable Tablets x12 – For Heartburn & Indigestion

What it is:
Gaviscon Double Action Mint Flavour chewable tablets treat heartburn, acid reflux, and indigestion. They work in two ways: the white layer neutralises excess stomach acid, and the pink layer forms a protective barrier over the stomach contents to ease chest burning.

Who can take it:

• Adults and children aged 12 and over.
• Children under 12 should only take it if a doctor advises.
• Safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage & Instructions

How to take it:

• Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing.
• Adults and children 12+ – 2 to 4 tablets after meals and at bedtime, up to 4 times a day.
• Do not take more than the recommended dose.
• If you forget a dose, take the next dose as normal – do not double up.

If you take too many:
You may feel bloated. Serious harm is unlikely, but consult a doctor or pharmacist. Long-term high doses of calcium can raise calcium levels in your blood.

Side effects:

Rare: Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty), constipation, muscle cramps, indigestion returning after stopping.

If you notice side effects, stop taking the tablets and speak to a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. You can also report via the Yellow Card Scheme.

Other important info:

• Avoid taking other oral medicines within 2 hours as Gaviscon may affect absorption.
• Contains sodium and calcium – consult your doctor if on a low-salt or special diet.
• Each tablet contains aspartame (source of phenylalanine) and carmoisine (E122), which may cause allergic reactions.

Storage:

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store below 30°C in the original package.
• Do not use after the expiry date.

Ingredients:

Active: sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate.
Other: xylitol, carmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, macrogol 20,000, mannitol, copovidone, acesulfame-K, aspartame, mint flavour, carmoisine lake. No sugar or gluten.
