Product Details
Dioralyte is a rehydration drink that quickly replaces the water and salts your body loses from diarrhoea, vomiting, or heavy sweating. It has glucose and electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and disodium hydrogen citrate to restore your body’s fluid and salt balance. You can take it from sachets (Natural or Blackcurrant) or ready-to-drink bottles. Just mix the powder with water before drinking, and follow the recommended dose. If symptoms continue or get worse, speak to a healthcare professional.
Dosage:
After each loose motion, take 1 or 2 sachets. Mix each sachet in 200 ml of water and drink.
Flavours available: Natural, and Blackcurrant
- Natural flavour → This version is unflavoured or very mild, sometimes called “plain.” It doesn’t have added fruit flavourings.
- Blackcurrant flavour → Has added blackcurrant flavouring to make it taste better.

Warnings
Do not take Dioralyte if you are allergic to glucose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium hydrogen citrate, or any other ingredient, or if you have a blocked bowel.
Signs of an allergic reaction include rash, swelling of the lips, face, throat, or tongue, or problems with breathing or swallowing.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving Dioralyte to a child under 2 years old, or if diarrhoea has lasted more than 24–48 hours.
HOW TO USE DIORALYTE
- Mix Dioralyte with water just before drinking – 1 sachet in 200 ml of fresh or freshly boiled and cooled water, stir until dissolved.
- For babies, you can keep the drink in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
- Do not use more or less water than recommended, as this can make the drink too weak or too strong and upset your body’s salt balance.
How many sachets to take
If you are being sick, take Dioralyte in small sips. Avoid eating during the first stage of diarrhoea. Adults take 1–2 sachets after each loose stool, children 1 sachet, and babies under 2 only under a doctor’s guidance.
If you take too much, contact a doctor, especially for children or anyone with liver or kidney problems. If you forget a dose, just take the next one when needed. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
