Texture & Application

Epaderm 500g is a thick, ointment-based emollient that melts into the skin when warmed between the hands. It absorbs gradually and is particularly suitable for overnight use or areas of very dry skin. Emollients do not contain steroids and can be applied as often as needed to help keep the skin moisturised.

For the best results in your "complete emollient therapy" routine, Epaderm can be used in three ways:

1. As a Moisturiser (Direct to Skin)
Apply a generous amount directly to the skin in the direction of hair growth. This reduces the risk of blocking follicles. Use as often as needed to keep skin supple and hydrated.

2. As a Skin Cleanser
Scoop a small amount into your palm and lather under warm water. Use it just like a soap substitute to ensure your skin is cleaned without being stripped of its natural oils.

3. As a Bath Additive
Melt roughly 4g (the size of a £2 coin) in a tumbler of hot water. Once cooled, add to your bathwater.

Note: Take care when using Epaderm in the bath or shower, as it can make surfaces very slippery.

Do not smoke or go near naked flames while using paraffin-based products. Clothing and bedding that have come into contact with the ointment can catch fire easily.
